CODE OF PRACTICE
Warnbro Community High School is a community fostering a co-operative
and supportive workplace. We provide an inclusive and responsive
learning environment. we strive to acknowledge the people, their
knowledge and skills, self-worth, and their importance to themselves and
to the community. This ethos is reflected in the Teacher's Code of
Practice and the Student Code.

Teaching staff are appointed to Warnbro Community High School on the
basis of merit. Teachers who join the school's professional team make a
commitment to the Teacher's Code of Practice.
- Teachers will be committed to ensuring that all students will be
successful learners.
- Teachers will be committed to the principles of developmental
learning.
- Teachers see themselves as learners - they are prepared to engage
in reflective practices and ongoing professional development.
- Teachers will collaborate in planning and structuring learning
programs.
- Teachers will work as part of a team in cross-curricula and
cross-year level groupings.
- Teachers will work with parents and the community to support
students' learning.
- Teachers will model participative processes in their relationships
with students and colleagues and will be committed to agreed goals.
- Teachers will treat all members of the school community with
dignity and respect.
- Teachers will be committed to enabling students to develop as

Student Code

The Student Code defines both the rights and responsibilities of the
student body of Warnbro Community High School. The school's ethos of
collaborative and democratic education is promoted in the Student
Council. Through the use of Electoral Commission's guidelines and
facilities, students are elected to represent their peers on the
Council. A student referendum was conducted to determine the Rights
and Responsibilities for students of Warnbro Community High School and
is reviewed on a regular basis by the Student Council. Current
students have democratically determined to abide by the following
