LIBRARY
The School Community Library is a facility which is a joint venture
between school and community. This facility allows for constant
interaction between the school and the parent body and the wider
community throughout the day. The Library has developed into a meeting
place for the community in general.Services are provided such as
Story time for youngsters, internet access and copying facilities.
Borrowing Procedures
Library resources cannot be borrowed without your membership card. You
must have your card each time that you visit the library. Each member may borrow up to eight (8) items, which includes:
- 10 Fiction books or
- 10 Non-fiction books or
- 10 Magazines or
- 10 Talking books or
- any combination of the above
Videos and CD-ROM's are limited to two (2) items per membership card. All items are loaned for a period of 28 days.

Community Membership
All residents of the City of Rockingham are eligible to join the library
service. Lost cards are replaced at a cost of $5.00 per card.
To join the library you need to bring some identification that shows
your current residential address. This can be a current Western Australian
Driver's License, rent receipt or an account. You may enrol all the members
of the family in the library service. Membership for toddlers and pre-school
children is encouraged. Young adults aged 14 years and over may sign their
own library cards.
Student Membership
Students are eligible to join Warnbro Community Library when they are
enrolled at Warnbro Community High School. Student membership of Warnbro
Community Library overrides any community cards that have been issued
to the student. The Middle School Library Card is issued at the beginning of Year 8 at
no charge to the student. This card is valid for Years 8, 9 & 10. The
Library card provides identification for students. If this card is lost it costs the student $5-00 to replace. It contains;
- a library membership number
- a photo of the student
- a current TransPerth Transport Pass
The Senior Library Card is issued to students at the beginning of Year
11. This card is valid for Years 11 & 12. It does not have a photo of
the student. This card costs the student $3.00 to replace. It contains;
- a library membership number
- a current TransPerth Transport Pass.

Student membership has all the provisions of community membership. Students are able to use their Warnbro Community High School Library cards
at all the City of Rockingham Libraries. The other libraries are the
Safety Bay Library in Safety Bay Road, Safety Bay and the Rockingham Regional
Campus Community Library in Dixon Road, Rockingham.

Staff Membership
Members of the teaching and non-teaching staff are eligible for Library
membership and have all the provisions of community membership. Staff
are able to borrow up to 25 items on a Staff Loan.
Overdue Items
On the 29th day items become overdue. Borrowing rights are suspended when your items become overdue. If you
cannot return your books to the library on time you may telephone the
library on 9593 4608 and have them renewed over the phone. An item will
only be renewed twice. It must then be returned to the library.
The Library does not charge fines for overdue items, although overdue
notices will be sent at 7 days and 28 days. If the item has not been returned
an invoice for the depreciated value of the item will be forwarded to
you.
Damaged Items
If the item you have borrowed becomes damaged, please do not attempt
to repair the item. Return the item to the Library and tell the Library
Officer on duty about the damage. The experts in the Library Service will
repair the item. If the item cannot be repaired you will be charged for
the cost of the damaged item. You may request to keep the damaged item
after payment has been received.
Library Rules
The Library rules are simple and reflect the collaborative nature of
the joint use library.
- Respect others whom are using the Library service and resources.
- Follow instructions from your Teacher, Teacher Librarian or Library
Officers.
- Handle all resources carefully.
- Return all resources promptly so they are available to be used
by others.
- Place your school bags on the racks provided. Keep your valuables
(wallets and mobile phones) with you at all times.
- As a courtesy to other library patrons please turn off your mobile
phone in the Library.
